The Riverside Company, a global investment firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has announced that Cryptomathic, a portfolio company of its affiliated European fund, has acquired TrustSkills, a Danish software company specializing in certificate lifecycle management. The add-on of TrustSkills will expand Cryptomathic's capabilities in certificate lifecycle management and strengthen its overall security offering, providing immediate access to a proven, scalable platform with an established customer base and accelerating Cryptomathic's entry into a rapidly growing market.
Scope of work
Code & Co. advised Cryptomathic on AI & Tech Due Diligence through an in-depth evaluation of the TrustSkills platform, covering its end-to-end certificate lifecycle automation, product strategy and roadmap including post-quantum cryptography readiness and built-in certificate authority capabilities, and the customer value delivered through deployment flexibility tailored to highly regulated environments.
The assessment further examined the underlying hybrid technology architecture, cloud infrastructure, monitoring posture, and cybersecurity practices supporting operations across both on-premise and cloud customer footprints, and concluded with a review of TrustSkills' engineering organization, software development lifecycle, release management, and quality assurance practices supporting continued product development and scalable growth.
