Code & Co. provides Tech & Product Due Diligence to LucaNet ahead of the acquisition of AMANA, the leading software provider for accounting and tax solutions in Europe
After many years of successful partnership in the field of Disclosure Management, LucaNet and AMANA are embarking on a joint path into the future.
LucaNet is one of the leading international providers of Corporate Performance Management for Finance, with solutions for consolidation, planning, and reporting.
With over 1000 customers, including 80% of DAX customers, AMANA has carved out a strong foothold for its tax, disclosure management, XBRL, and leasing software solutions.
Both companies have been working successfully in close partnership since 2015 and offer their customers joint solutions, such as the "SmartNotes" and "XBRL-Tagger" tools, which optimally complement LucaNet solutions with extensive functions for business and financial reporting as well as digital transmission. Also, in the context of ESG reporting, which will occupy many medium-sized companies and corporations in the coming years, AMANA and LucaNet can already offer their customers a simple, fast, and secure solution, which is now being further expanded.
Furthermore, the acquisition marks LucaNet’s entry into the tax software market, in which AMANA has been able to establish a market-leading role as an innovation leader and trusted technical expert, among others, with solutions for income and sales tax for years.
The addition of AMANA in the LucaNet Group is now the next step in further deepening the cooperation and expanding its success internationally and thus represents an important milestone in LucaNet's global growth strategy.
Scope of Work
Code & Co. provided Tech & Product Due Diligence to LucaNet ahead of the acquisition. It included assessing the company’s software capabilities, including architecture, infrastructure, tech choices, and ongoing technical evolution and cloud strategy. A static code assessment and deep code scan were completed. Code & Co. further assessed the team’s product-strategic roadmap and KPIs, and internal processes such as the company’s team, hiring, and software development life cycle.
