Code & Co. provides Tech & Product Due Diligence to SEMA Group in advance of its acquisition of Compass Software GmbH
The building industry is facing fundamental changes and challenges in the areas of digitalization and process coordination. With SEMA Group and Compass both already contributing considerably to BIM coordination processes, this acquisition will help enable customers to achieve significant increases in productivity and improvements in cost and schedule adherence across the industry.
SEMA Group’s acquisition of Compass represents a strategic portfolio expansion, one which is expected to further advance SEMA’s strategic goal of offering a platform for industrialized timber construction by bundling innovative power to offer customers a unique user experience and consistent workflows. The acquisition will allow customers to integrate other trades into their daily business using highly innovative solutions from SEMA’s portfolio.

Scope of Work
Code & Co. provided Tech & Product Due Diligence to SEMA Group ahead of its investment in Compass Software GmbH. The due diligence process involved assessing Compass’ product offerings, technology stack, and architecture as well as the company’s engineering team, software development life cycle, and roadmap for product expansion.
