Aquiline Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in London-based specialty MGA Clearwater UW, backing plans to scale the business through both organic expansion and acquisitions. Clearwater focuses on specialty underwriting supported by proprietary digital capabilities, with ambitions to build a broader, institutional MGA platform spanning multiple lines and markets.
Scope of Work
Code & Co. reviewed Clearwater UW’s platform, covering its architecture, cloud infrastructure, technology stack, and security setup. The audit also addressed the product roadmap, platform scalability, integration readiness, and operational model in the context of future growth.
Finally, Code & Co. assessed the engineering setup, software development lifecycle, and the fully outsourced development model.
